ArtsPlace is a 1904 Beaux Arts Classical building, owned by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and subleased to LexArts. ArtsPlace is located on the first floor, and hosts a variety of exhibits every year. The convenience of ArtsPlace makes it the perfect spot for private receptions, corporate meetings and special events. LexArts also offers per-use rental space to member and private groups.
In the midst of Lexington's historic and picturesque antebellum Gratz Park, the Hunt-Morgan House stands as a reminder of early nineteenth century life, when Lexington, Kentucky was known as The Athens of the West. The museum's collection of early Kentucky furniture, antique porcelain and nineteenth century paintings captures the elegance of the Hunt and Morgan families.
At the heart of downtown Lexington since the 1880's. In 1985 a modern renovation brought the shops and restaurants under one roof. The Square offers visitors an exciting and original mix of shopping, galleries, restaurants, bars and even a theater and museum for kids. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings and the home of the Lexington Visitors Bureau. A must visit while in Lexington.
