ArtsPlace is a 1904 Beaux Arts Classical building, owned by the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and subleased to LexArts. ArtsPlace is located on the first floor, and hosts a variety of exhibits every year. The convenience of ArtsPlace makes it the perfect spot for private receptions, corporate meetings and special events. LexArts also offers per-use rental space to member and private groups.
Local farmers supply many of the ingredients used in their gourmet deli menu, which includes jumbo panini sandwiches, burgers, salads, baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Desserts include huge homemade cookies, brownies, pies and more. Guy Fieri of "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" said their Big Brown Burger was "one of the Top 5 I've ever had!" Beer, outdoor dining available.
The Art Museum at the University of Kentucky is Lexington's premier art museum. It is located in the Singletary Center for the Arts and features artwork ranging from old masters to contemporary. The collection includes artwork from around the world from paintings, prints, sculptures and more. Admission to the permanent collection gallery is free. Traveling exhibition ticket prices vary.
Departing from the R. J. Corman Lexington Station, the voyage extends past McConnell Springs, through some of the most beautiful horse farms of the Bluegrass. The lunch excursion lasts 2 hours and the dinner excursion is 2 1/2 hours.
