31st Antiques & Garden Show
With this year’s Keynote Speaker writer Julia Reed, the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation will celebrate southern hospitality at its 31st Antiques & Garden Show March 4-6, 2016 in Lexington. A fundraiser for the BGT’s preservation work in Central Kentucky, this threeday show is a regional draw featuring 80+ quality exhibitors from around the country, gorgeous gardens and designer vignettes, and a stellar lineup of complimentary daily lectures. Convenient to I-75 and I-64, the Trust’s show at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena offers free, onsite parking, an a La carte café with bar service, complimentary daily lectures, and a Kentucky Treasures exhibit. Daily tickets are $20 at the door; $35 for a run-of-show ticket. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday, and 12 noon to 5 pm Sunday. Honorary chairs Mr. and Mrs. Tom Meng will preside at the Gala Preview Cocktail Party on Thursday, March 3, from 6 to 9 pm, featuring cocktails, a delectable array of gourmet food by Catering by Donna, and valet parking. Reserved tickets are $130 per person if purchased by January 22; $150 after that, all to beneﬁ t the BGT. The renowned keynote speaker for 2016 is writer Julia Reed. Her entertaining Friday lecture and luncheon is $65 p/p, reservations required, and includes a daily show ticket. Other 2016 show highlights will include the Kentucky Treasures exhibit and an array of complimentary daily lectures.
